President of Turkmenistan inspects construction of facilities in Ashgabat


President Berdimuhamedov today examined the large construction sites of Ashgabat, the work on which should be completed in 2020. In total, 27 objects in the capital and in the territories adjacent to it are scheduled to be commissioned during this period.
On a working trip, first on bicycles along city streets, and then by helicopter, the head of state was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Shamuhammet Durdylyev, who oversees a number of industries, including construction. He informed the president about construction work and new architectural projects, and received instructions and installations for each of the facilities.
From the air, Berdimuhamedov examined the state of affairs on the construction of a sanatorium in the village of Bagabat near Ashgabat, then circled the northern part of the capital. Here, the attention of the head of state was attracted by Lake Gurtly. The head of state instructed to turn this place into a well-maintained recreational area for the summer holidays of Ashgabat residents.

From the helicopter, the president visually assessed the status of work on the construction of the motor transport cluster, which will be located in the north of Ashgabat and will include industry enterprises and driving schools with a training center.
The next object is an infectious diseases clinic in the Geoktepe district of Ahal, which will strengthen the network of medical and diagnostic institutions of a similar profile in the country.
In the west of the capital, Berdimuhamedov inspected a new residential area of 32 houses, the construction of which includes the creation of social infrastructure, and also flew over the facilities under construction on the 16th stage of the capital’s development.
During the flight, the head of state familiarized himself with the construction of the Karakum Hotel and the second phase of the Nisa Hotel, new educational and leisure institutions of Ashgabat, road transport facilities, etc.
A presidential helicopter flew over the International Medical and Aesthetic Center, new buildings in the south of Ashgabat, where the Congress Center, the government stand, a luxurious hotel and several administrative buildings, as well as a monument dedicated to the International Bicycle Day, which was established by the UN on the proposal of Turkmenistan, are being erected..
