Nutrition of athletes of the Ashgabat Asian Games will be provided by 1200 people
A consortium, which included the Gourmet Sports Hospitality AG (Switzerland) and ES Gül Zaman (Turkmenistan), was appointed the catering operator at the Ashgabat Games 2017. They will provide nutrition for athletes, other participants and guests of the 5th Asian Games, journalists and volunteers, as well as technical and support staff.
In accordance with the requirements of the International Olympic Committee, rations for athletes are selected, taking into account the culinary traditions of the peoples they represent. The menu consists of five types - European, Asian and Turkmen national cuisine, as well as vegetarian and halal dishes.
All foodstuffs that are purchased for the Asian Games, both domestic and imported, must necessarily be certified according to international quality standards and pass the examination of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service.
In general, 1200 people will be involved in the public catering at the Ashgabat 2017 Games, of which more than 400 will be foreign specialists: technologists, cooks, etc. The main part of them is assigned to the canteen for 2,064 seats.
In addition to serving delegations, there are also paid catering points on the territory of the Olympic town - for spectators, fans and tourists. Dozens of cafes and buffets will operate near the competition facilities and places of mass events.
In the recreation areas there will also be shopping pavilions, mobile sales outlets, trays with soft drinks and ice cream.
Shopping centers and shops located in the proximity to the Olympic town have been already operating for a month in a round-the-clock mode.
In all places of trade and food points there is a possibility of non-cash payments.
Not so long ago - exactly one month before the Games "Ashgabat 2017" - a real culinary show took place in the Olympic town.
Guests of the holiday, among which was President Berdimuhamedov, have been presented national dishes of all participating countries of the forthcoming Games. This is neither more nor less than 64 states, of which 46 are from Asia and 18 are from Oceania. Culinary delights of non-participating in the Asian Games Turkey and Azerbaijan were also presented.
The organizers of the holiday of national dishes were the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and the main performers were the already mentioned "Gourmet Sports Hospitality AG" and "Gül Zaman", for which this day became the main rehearsal for the 5th Asian Games, opening on September 17th at the main stadium of the Ashgabat Olympic Town.
