Experts from other areas of Turkmenistan arrived in the city to help to carry out recovery work in the administrative centre of Lebap and neighbouring villages. Building materials are delivered to the region to conduct repair of roofs and other kinds of work. The main attention is given to life-supporting objects and housing fund to which the natural disaster has caused a great damage. In the evening of April 27 Turkmenabad city and neighbouring villages were caught in the blow of the strong hurricane. Roofs of some houses were taken down, trees and utility poles were tumbled down as its result. The headquarters for elimination of the consequences of the natural calamity has been immediately set up and due forces and means have been directed to clear city streets, to repair roofs and transmission lines. In short terms water, gas and electrical supply have been restored. Now, repair work continues.
