President of Turkmenistan gives instructions amid possible second coronavirus wave


President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, at an off-site government session in the city of Turkmenbashi, assigned a number of instructions as the world expects to have the second wave of the novel coronavirus infection.
The head of state gave instructions to fill up stock of necessary medicines, materials, medical suppliers and disinfectants on continuing basis. According to the president, it is necessary to continue the advanced training of medical workers in the field of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of acute viral pneumonia.
To diagnose a disease case, the Turkmen leader gave instructions to purchase lab test systems and build up the stock. For medical screening of citizens at border checkpoints, it is necessary to create quarantine zones equipped with the necessary diagnostic facilities, etc.
As experts warn of second wave of coronavirus infection, Berdimuhamedov assigned to create the reserve stock of medicines and medical equipment and to manufacture some types of the medical supplies in the country.
In addition, the head of state, taking into consideration the coming summer season, instructed the Extraordinary Commission to Combat the Spread of Diseases at soonest time to study the possibilities and proposals on organizing summer holidays and tourism in the Caspian Sea, in the Avaza Tourist Zone and other regions of Turkmenistan.
