Turkmenistan increases cement industry capacity

Turkmenistan's construction industry will increase cement production. To provide the country's construction sites with cement of the right grades, the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan, together with the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of the country, is working on the use of active mineral additives in cement production.
The production of a new type of cement - Portland cement brand 400-G20-K - is already established. Currently, the Ministry and the Institute are working on the production of cement grade 500-G20-K. The active mineral additive necessary for this production is basalt porphyrites extracted from rocks at the Ufra deposit in the Primorsky, Balkan region.
Using these minerals, the volume of output at cement plants of the country's Ministry of Industry will increase by 20%.
