Turkmenistan involves the maximum opportunities of the national satellite system amid pandemic
Amid rising cases in the novel coronavirus COVID-19 disease worldwide, the importance of the use of satellite communication, which allows holding online video meetings, talks, conferences and other events, has increased. In addition to objective necessity, it significantly increases efficiency of time and resources. The issue related to the use of space and communication technologies was discussed at a session of the Government of Turkmenistan on Friday. During the session, it was highlighted that the presence in the country of national system of satellite communications allows solving quickly problems arising in connection with the pandemic. In particular, full operation of satellite communications enables the maximum opportunities for conduction of online video conferences and television bridges. Today, this type of communication, which is widely used in the world, significantly accelerates working process. Having summarized all discussed, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted big importance of launch of the second artificial satellite for the economy of the country. Head of state ordered the Vice-premier to study this subject in details and take relative steps.
