Tours of the Americana band Humming House – fusion of Turkmen music with the indie folk

Today, a concert of the folk-Americana band Humming House who performed their compositions in the indie folk genre was held in Ashgabat, at the Vatan Cinema Concert Hall. As a part of a grand tour, they have visited Kazakhstan and Tajikistan. And now they are in Turkmenistan.Ayna BERDIYEVA
As soon as band members’ Justin Tam, Bobby Chase, Joshua Wolak and Benjamin Jones appeared at the stage, they compelled the attention of the audience, who loaded the hall to capacity.
The music of the Nashville-based band that is convincing and honest captured the souls and the hearts of the listeners. The indie pop is called the melody of presence, so the soloists of the group “were” next to everyone. It was obvious that the hall sang along to the musicians and danced to the beat of each melody.
The band performed the famous songs such as “Sing me up”, “Companion”, “Can not Stay Away” and many new others.
The performance of Humming House with the quartet from the Turkmen National Conservatory was the culmination of the concert.
“We learned very quickly four songs with our Turkmen colleagues. It proves once again that music unites the most diverse nations,” Justin Tam, the soloist of Humming House said.
Indeed, the music united the American and Turkmen performers together; they were mutually complementary organically in each other’s styles and manner.
The tour of Humming House in Turkmenistan will last until October 31. The next concert of this indie folk band will be performed in the Balkan province of the country.
