Uzbekistan to ease a number of quarantine restrictions as of April 30


By the decision of the Republic Special Commission for the preparation of a program of measures to prevent the entry and spread of coronavirus into the Republic of Uzbekistan, as of April 30, a number of restrictions with the quarantine regime were eased.
As of April 30, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., and again from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the citizens are allowed to go out without special permission and drive their cars, including all types of private and service cars (with passengers), as well as bicycles for the purposes of going to work, buying medicine and shopping for essentials.
Citizens are also allowed to walk directly in front of their multi-storey houses in cities and districts and in inner areas, with a 2-meters social-distancing restrictions and wearing masks, while children under 14 age should be accompanied by their parents.
In addition, the heads of higher education and research institutions, as well as professors, are allowed to continue their scientific work and other activities.
The movement of vehicles, including private and service cars of individuals and legal entities, transporting fruit and vegetables between cities, districts, regions and city of Tashkent, is also allowed.
In public places, markets and authorized retail outlets, as well as in vehicles, everyone is required to strictly observe established sanitary and hygienic measures.
According to the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, there were 1,955 coronavirus cases, in Uzbekistan as of April 29. As of April 28, the total number of coronavirus infected people was 1,939, including 992 patients fully recovered from the coronavirus infection, eight deaths.
