Turkmenistan will help Afghanistan with foodstuffs during the month of fasting

Turkmenistan in honour of the sacred month of Ramadan, being guided by principles of humanism and foreign policy solidarity will render the humanitarian aid to the people of the neighbouring Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. Such decree was signed by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. According to the document, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan as well as the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan were assigned to arrange a cargo of humanitarian aid. The Turkmen foreign policy department was commissioned to ensure shipping and transfer of the humanitarian aid to its addressees. Residents of frontier areas of Afghanistan bordered with Turkmenistan will receive food products as the humanitarian aid. Today with good reason one can say that an all-round aid rendered to the Afghani people is an independent direction of Turkmen foreign policy. Besides rendering of a single humanitarian aid, Ashgabat on a systematic basis delivers to Afghanistan power energy at reduced prices, builds social objects at its own funds in the Afghani territory, realises transnational power and transport projects passing through the territory of Afghanistan, and also trains the Afghani specialists in its higher schools. Besides it, Turkmenistan takes an active part in the process of political regulation in the neighbouring country.
