Presidents of Turkmenistan and Iran stand for collective efforts in the fight against the pandemic


Presidents of Turkmenistan and Iran in a telephone conversation on Wednesday hailed bilateral relations, including in trade and economy, as well as global problems and difficulties caused by the outbreak of coronavirus infection in most of the countries of the world, the Turkmen TV reported. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Hassan Rouhani deemed collective efforts necessary for the battle with the pandemic and confirmed the adherence of the two parties for cooperation in this filed. Turkmenistan stands for active cooperation of countries to counter the new threat, coupled with mutual support and solidarity, the Turkmen leader said. The sides have stressed the need to resume the trade exchanges at the common border in full compliance with the safety guidelines and health protocols, the statement on a phone call of Rouhani to Berdimuhamedov at the official website of the President of Iran reads. Head of states congratulated each other on the holy month of Ramadan, and agreed to accelerate efforts to restore the process of economic cooperation to the previous situation.
