Turkey has sent to the USA and Pakistan the next party of humanitarian aid


The medical aid for control of Сovid-19 pandemic infections was delivered from Turkey to the USA and Pakistan as Anadolu Turkish news agency informs. The military-transport plane A400M of the Air Forces of Turkey with cargo of medicines and protection equipment landed at the air base Andrews in the State of Maryland. The aircraft took off in the morning on April 28 from Ankara. Serdar Kılıç, ambassador of Turkey in Washington and US Assistant State Secretary of European and Eurasian Affairs Philip Reeker took part in the ceremony of meeting of the board. The cargo of medical masks, and also special protective overalls, was on the instructions of president of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. All production was made at the enterprises of the defence industry of Turkey. Kay Bailey Hutchison, Permanent Representative of the United States to NATO thanked Turkey for medical aid to his country in fighting Сovid-19 pandemic. He wrote about it on his Twitter page. Besides it, Turkey directed the second party of humanitarian aid to Pakistan within the limits of measures on combat of Сovid-19 pandemic. According to the consul general of Turkey in Karachi Murat Erkol, humanitarian cargo consists of 180 thousand masks and 31 500 protective suits. The humanitarian aid will be directed to the most hard-hit regions of Pakistan. The first part of humanitarian aid from Turkey was directed to Pakistan on April 22. The humanitarian cargo consisted of 20 thousand masks, 50 thousand protective suits and 100 thousand face shields. The cargo was delivered by the plane of Turkish Airlines which took out a group of Turkish citizens from Pakistan. Earlier Turkey sent humanitarian cargoes and medical aid to Italy, Spain, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Great Britain and Somalia.
