First national tennis training session take place in Turkmenistan
From October 19 to October 29, the first national tennis training session, organized by the Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan in cooperation with the Ministry of Sport and Youth Policy of the country, is taking place in Ashgabat.
The training session coordinated by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) gathered 17 athletes of different ages from all regions of Turkmenistan. They were selected according to the results of two Championships of the country, held in August and October this year.
As part of training, athletes both improve their skills in playing tennis and do gyms along with careful monitoring of their physical condition.
The master of sports in tennis Jennet Halliyeva and coach from the Mary region Andrey Dovmatov prepare athletes for the World Junior Championships to be held in January, as well as for the championship of Central Asia among children under 12, which will be held in Ashgabat in June 2019.
According to the organizers of the training session, Imran Ahundov, Selim Chagylov, Mariya Atamuradova, Aysha Bekbulatova, Ilim Huseynov and others are among perspective athletes.
It should be noted that representatives of the Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan attended a training workshop for administrators of the Asian Tennis Federation, held on October 20-21 in the capital of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Turkmen delegation took part in the discussion of the tennis competition schedule for 2019 for the countries of the Asian region.
