Russia suspends grain export till July 1
Russia suspends grain export till July, 1, 2020. It is told in the statement of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. «After export of all grain declared within the limits of grain quota export, wheat, wheat and rye mixture seed (meslin), rye, barley and corn to the states which are not members of Eurasian Economic Union, will be stopped till July, 1, 2020. The Federal Customs Service has stopped release of new declarations for export», as is marked in the statement. As was reminded in the Ministry of Agriculture, on April 26, 2020 non-tariff quota for export of grain from Russia at the rate of 7 million tons which was established from April 1, the current year, was reached in full. According to representatives of the ministry, the restrictive measure will allow to stabilise the prices on grain and to provide internal requirements of the country for grain and products of its processing. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, restrictions will not affect achievement of the purposes of government programs of the Russian Federation, and also indicators of export of production of agrarian and industrial complex in 2020. In Russia, according to the federal emergency response centre for fighting coronavirus, 80 949 cases of infection were registered, 6 767 persons have recovered, and 747 have died.
