An epic one in an ippologic one: authors of the best creative works on the equestrian topic were awarded


To winners of the creative competition the main topic of which is the Akhalteke horse, were given prizes on behalf of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The awarding ceremony was held during celebratory actions in the Ahalteke horse complex, dated to Day of the Turkmen horse. The head of the state took part in the public celebration.
The annual competition of creative works is held to this date traditionally among artists of carpet, jewellers, painters, sculptors, photographers and videographs. And each time a favourite theme in Turkmen art sounds with new force and new overtones.
The association of six nominations allows creating the image of the horse embodied in different types of traditional arts and crafts and the fine arts volume and rising to epic heights, and modern visual products of publishing and mass-media.
The competition jury were headed by national artist of Turkmenistan, sculptor Saragt Babayev who declared results.
In the "carpet" nomination this time, as before, the palm of supremacy was taken by national artist of Turkmenistan Ada Gutlyev. His carpet won first place thanks to the unique technics of execution combining ornamental weaving with subject drawing. For the product demanding huge laborious work, the author received the presidential award of 3 thousand US dollars.
Among the best jeweller works Shazada Orazberdieva, teacher of special art school at the State Academy of Fine Art of Turkmenistan was recognized. He presented ensemble of the smart horse ammunition created according to ancient canons of harness and ornament of horses, but with modern decorative elements. The monetary prize in 2 thousand US dollars became an award to the master.
From among painters the victory was celebrated by the instructor of youth - from the Academy of Fine Art. Parakhat Gapanchaev’s work created in the classical style of horse portrait, or «hippology genre», that is with limiting animalistic reliability, but at the same time with landscape poetry and refinement. The award at the rate of 1, 5 thousand US dollars is handed to him.
Monetary prizes in 1 thousand dollars was given to young sculptor, student of the final year of the State Fine Art Academy Patdyk Patdykov, press photographer of the Russian-language newspaper «Neutral Turkmenistan» Hasan Magadov and the operator of TV channel « Turkmen ovazy» Alexey Kochetov.
