Turkmen schoolchildren are invited to participate in the competition for the best essay for the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory
The Caspian-Eurasia Center for International and Political Studies invites school-children from Turkmenistan and other CIS countries to participate in an internation-al essay competition dedicated to the 75th anniversary of victory in the Great Patri-otic War. The competition of school works “The Great Patriotic War in the History of my Family” is held with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund, the Gov-ernment of the Astrakhan Region, and the Regional Agency for International and Foreign Economic Relations.
Its goal is to develop educational and cultural ties with schoolchildren from other countries, increasing interest of the young generation in history.
Senior grade pupils from 14 to 19 years of age who know Russian are allowed to participate in the competition. Works containing maximum two pages of computer text must be sent before May 10 to the email address mid-sng@astrobl.ru. The Par-ticipation Form completed in the prescribed manner must also be attached to the essay.
The best works will be determined by a competent jury, and the winners will take part in an educational trip to the Astrakhan Region.
Last year, 66 essays were submitted to the competition, of which the jury selected the best 15. The collection of winning texts was released in a separate edition and presented at the Museum of Military Glory in the city of Astrakhan.
