Iranian football player of Turkmen origin, Zenit’s striker Serdar Azmun entered the area of interest of a number of clubs. As Spanish media reports, Sevilla is interested in the player. Yesterday it was reported that Atletico Madrid was ready to face competition from Napoli for Zenit St Petersburg’s Iranian striker. Serdar Azmun was born on 1 January 1995 in the city of Gonbad-e Kavus, Iran. He grew up in a volleyball family. His father is a famous Iranian volleyball Khalil Azmun, a former player of the national team of Iran, his sister also played for the national team of the country, his mother is a volleyball coach. Serdar speaks Turkmen and Persian fluently, and is fond of riding on horseback. Serdar Azmun started to play football when he was 9. At age 11, for the first time, he was summoned to the Iranian national team for players under 12 years old. At age 15, Azmun became Iran’s youngest Legionnaire when later, on December 2012 he transferred to Rubin Kazan at the age of 17. In February 2015, he joined the FC Rostov, where he played on loan until the end of the season. In October 2013, Azmun was called up to the Iranian national football team. Serdar made his senior debut on 26 May 2014 in a friendly match against Montenegro, coming on as a substitute in the 60th minute. He scored his first goal for the national team on 18 November 2014 in a 1–0 friendly win over South Korea in the 68th minute. In January 2015, he was included into Iran’s 2015 AFC Asian Cup squad final tournament in Australia, where Serdar scored two goals and helped the Iranian national team to advance from the group.
