Desert ships


At first sight, the desert is not intended for life, but, despite it, camels - «desert ships» - live, withstanding severe heat.
Camel breeder of the tenth generation, resident of the village Lachyn in Balkan province Allayar Miriyev tells: «Remaining 10-12 hours without food and water the majority of people feel very discomfort, but camels are very hard and patient animals. By their anatomy and physiology they are adapted to heat and existence in desert».
From ancient times camels were considered as a loyal friend, a source of food, clothes and means of transportation for the majority of inhabitants of deserts. They are capable to cross huge distances, carrying on their humps heavy cargo and passengers, and bringing much more benefit, than trucks.
- Soon I will attain seventy, but I well remember stories of my grandmother of camels, - Allayar Miriyev continues his word. - At that time many local residents were engaged in trade, and these wonderful animals helped people to survive in extremely severe conditions. Besides, they gave natural products: camel meat, milk, cream – agaran, chal which were good for health.
The use of fresh camel milk with food promotes immunity boost, liquidates inflammatory processes. The hair of camel is often uses for treatment of fractures, neuritis, neuralgia, arthritis, rheumatic pains. Clothes from the camel hair are natural, non-polluting and hypoallergenic.
