Invigorating power of coffee, or the world’s most popular drink

“This world is not so bad as long as it has coffee” - a life-affirming quote, isn't it? Ever since a person first tasted a drink made from coffee beans, many variations of its name have appeared in different countries and languages. The ancient Arabs called the invigorating drink “kava”, which translates as “exciting”, “not letting fall asleep”. Traveling around Ethiopia, Arab nomads learned from the local population about an unusual drink that fills with strength and vigor everyone who drinks it. It is noteworthy that coffee grew in the wild and was not cultivated by man in those days. Nomads immediately appreciated the properties of coffee, making a kind of “travel” food from its beans and fat. Long journeys took a lot of energy, and edible balls made of coffee helped to survive in harsh environmental conditions. Soon the area of cultivating coffee expanded, and it gradually turned into a favorite drink of mankind, becoming one of the most prestigious products on the international market. Today there are a huge number of grades and varieties of coffee. The most popular of these are arabica and robusta. These varieties are grown most. Coffee has many positive properties. However, an excessive number of cups drunk per day can adversely affect the human health. Caffeine improves the reaction. In people who prefer this drink, parts of the cerebral cortex responsible for attention and memory are activated. Consuming natural coffee in moderate amount reduces the risk of diabetes, cancer and cardiovascular diseases. Experts recommend drinking coffee before noon, as the body needs to be buoyant in the early hours. It is undesirable to drink coffee on an empty stomach as it can cause a stomach ulcer. A cup of instant coffee drunk before bedtime often results in insomnia. “For coffee, you can do anything, even work,” Bill Gates once joked. Kakysh Akmamedov, barista at one of the Ashgabat coffee houses, told about how to drink the “heavenly” drink and which coffee is preferred in Turkmenistan. - You need to enjoy every sip, because coffee is a special drink, Kakysh says. - My job is to make the client enjoy not only flavor, but also aesthetic satisfaction. You have probably seen the drawings on coffee foam. Well, this is almost jewelry work, requiring special attention and skill. Drawing on coffee, I become both an artist and a magician at the same time, for which I really like my “fragrant” profession. The observant barista noted that the residents of Turkmenistan are very fond of sweet coffee: cappuccino, latte, mokachino. And foreign guests prefer strong Americano, espresso, double espresso. - I like it when people come again because they liked our coffee, Kakysh shares. - We use the brand premium coffee beans Bazetti and roast them ourselves, because the quality of the best drink in the world is influenced by many factors, one of the main of which is the proper roasting of beans.
