Turkmenistan-EU: dialogue on water-ecological platform is entering a new phase
The interaction of Turkmenistan and the European Union in the field of sustainable water resources management was discussed today by experts at a meeting remotely.
A video communication session was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with the participation of specialists from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, the State Committee for Water Management of the country. At the other end of the teleconference are the regional leaders of the EU-CA project: cooperation in the field of water, environment and climate change.
The project is entering the third phase of implementation, in this regard, the planned activities and issues of environmental management, the formation of a closed-loop economy, sustainable production and consumption, the impact of climate change, water management and related cross-cutting issues were discussed.
The participants exchanged the latest information on the progress made in the field of environmental regulation, including on a legislative basis.
The cooperation platform in the field of environmental protection and water resources was created at the EU-CA High Level Conference in Rome in 2009. It provides a framework for cooperation for the implementation of the EU Central Asia Strategy.
