“Sounds of Dutar” Festival invites to the conference “The Face of War in the Mirror of Art”


The 6th Moscow International Festival of Arts “Sounds of Dutar” named after Nury Halmamedov invites scientists and cultural figures, teachers and university students from the CIS countries to participate in the International Scientific and Practical Conference “The Face of War in the Mirror of Art”.
In the year of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the conference agenda includes issues of historical memory preservation for future generations, rethinking historical lessons. The participants also plan to discuss new approaches of teaching the younger generation the concepts of heroism, patriotism, love for the Motherland, spirituality, friendship and compassion.
Among the main topics of the conference are the music of the war and post-war years, the creative exploits of performers in the theater of military operations and the war itself in the art of the era.
The organizer of the International Festival “Sounds of Dutar”, Turkmen composer Mamed Huseynov also calls on colleagues from Turkmenistan to pay attention to the disclosure of themes of war in the works of domestic composers, in particular Nury Halmamedov, after whom the festival is named.

The event will be held on October 27, 2020 at the Moscow House of Nationalities. All materials will be sent to the main libraries of the Russian Federation and included in the RSCI system.
