In Turkmenistan large-scale health survey has been started with schools


Mass health survey of the population has begun in Turkmenistan – general education schools were the first to join the campaign on Monday, April 13. All pupils will undergo preventive examinations by a medical team consisting of pediatricians or therapists (depending on the age group), ophthalmologists, otolaryngologists, dentists, dermatologists, etc.
Inspections are carried out directly at the place of training, for this purpose, schools are additionally equipped with medical rooms, the necessary means and office equipment are imported for recording information. Patrol inspection at schools, including examinations concerning healthy food for children, rules of hygiene culture, and hygienization, will be held up to and including May 25.
On April 8, the President of Turkmenistan assigned the Vice Prime Minister for Science, Education and Health and the Minister of Education to start prophylactic medical inspection with educational institutions at a meeting where one of the main topics was the prevention of coronavirus infection in the country.
Universal medical examination will embrace all groups of the population. For this purpose, medical commissions have been established in Ashgabat and regions of the country, which task is to carry out prophylactic medical inspections and assess the health state in order to detect any diseases early to carry out timely therapeutic and bracing measures and protect people’s immunity.
