A judoist from Turkmenistan, Milana Charygulyeva (up to 52 kg) won a bronze medal in the mixed teams competition at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires. The athlete performed as part of the Rio de Janeiro team, which also included judoists from Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kosovo, Algeria, Slovenia, Russia and Burundi. They defeated the teams "Sydney", "Atlanta" and only in the semifinals they lost to the "Athenians". Previously, Milana Charyguliyeva, who's coach is Omar Muhammetnazarov, won the first place in the 2018 Junior Judo Championship of Turkmenistan.Aina BERDYYEVA
