US reconsider WHO funding

US authorities began to reconsider the amount of funding for the World Health Organization as they do not see the “expected results”, RIA Novosti reports. As US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said, “organizations must work and produce results,” and as for WHO, “it’s not visible that it has achieved what it had to achieve”. At the same time, Pompeo added that now is not the right time to change the WHO head, but admitted that this issue will be raised in the future. As we recall, US President Donald Trump said earlier that the US authorities may stop financial support for WHO, because it “received a huge amount of money from the US”, but was mistaken “about many things”.
