Turkish Airlines suspends all international flights until May 1, 2020


The national company of Turkey, Turkish Airlines (THY), suspends all international flights until May 1, 2020 due to the new type of coronavirus pandemic Covid-19. This is stated in a message posted on the airline’s website. THY will operate flights only on domestic routes and only in 14 cities of the country: Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Diyarbakir, Erzurum, Gaziantep, Istanbul, Izmir, Kayseri, Konya, Malatya, Samsun, Trabzon and Van. The airline reminded that starting from the morning (06:00) on March 29, 2020 passengers on domestic routes must show a special document “Travel Permit”. Without this document, even in case of purchasing a ticket, passengers will not be allowed on the flight.
