“The top of one of New York’s most famous skyscrapers, the Empire State Building, was highlighted with red and white colors that resemble the color of a siren. This pays tribute to the doctors who oppose the coronavirus,” the report said.
The owners of the skyscraper called the exhibition "Heartbeat of America." Illumination of the upper floors and the spire of the building imitates light beacons that are turned on by ambulances when they are on a call.
Empire State Building's Twitter account has posted a photo of the illuminated spire of the building with the caption: “We will never stop shining for you.”
As the world continues to battle COVID-19 — more than 67,174 confirmed cases in New York State alone on Tuesday, according to the New York Times — the Empire State Building pays tribute to those who are working at the forefront of the crisis.
The height of the skyscraper built in 1931 is 381 meters (with a spire - 443 meters). The building is the seventh in this indicator in New York and the sixth in the United States.

At the same time, in the capital of France - Paris, on the Eiffel Tower, the word "Merci" was highlighted in gratitude to the doctors.
