The 4th Nury Halmammedov International Art Festival will be held in Moscow

On October 31, the 4th Moscow International Festival of Arts named after Nury Halmammedov - “Sounds of Dutar” starts in the Russian capital. The opening ceremony of the event will present the piano collection of the director of this festival, composer Mammad Huseynov.Aina BERDYYEVA
On November 1, competitive auditions will begin, and on November 3, the festival will host the international conference “The Great Silk Road in the history of the development of musical culture: the past and the present”.
On November 4, the exhibition of the artist, honored art worker of Turkmenistan Yevgeny Mikhelson will open its doors. On the same day at the gala concert the award ceremony of the festival winners will take place.
The goal of the international art festival “Sounds of Dutar” is to acquaint the world community with the Turkmen musical culture, the work of the outstanding Turkmen composer Nury Halmammedov, through music and art, and to promote the strengthening of interethnic relations.
Moscow regularly hosts events dedicated to the work of Halmammedov. For example, on May 26, a concert for the 80th anniversary of the composer was organized at the Moscow Conservatory's “home” for him.
