Students from 12 countries took part in the Ashgabat Mathematics Olympiad


Turkmen students won 18 gold medals at the 3rd Open Mathematics Olympiad, which was organized by the International University of Humanities and Development in Ashgabat.
In total, besides Turkmen students more than one hundred students from 11 countries – Argentina, Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Russia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, South Korea, China, Vietnam and Belarus – took part in the Olympiad. They carried out the tasks in the online mode.
In the category “A” for students specializing in mathematics and computer science, students of TSU named after Makhtumkuli distinguished themselves, taking the maximum number of awards. The select teams of this University were also awarded two gold medals in team competitions.
Students of the Institute of Architecture and Construction, the International University of Humanities and Development, the State Institute of Economics and Management, the Oguzkhan University of Engineering and Technology, as well as the IIR of the MFA of Turkmenistan granted the “gold medal” in the category “B”.
Also the treasury of the national team of Turkmenistan supplemented with a “bouquet” of silver and bronze awards. The full list of winners can be found on the website.
