Walk of Friendship to appear in Minsk to celebrate 75th Anniversary of Great Victory


A 100-meter-long the Walk of Friendship will appear in the capital of Belarus to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the laying of which will be held in April.
The preparations for this ceremony were discussed in the CIS Executive Committee at a meeting of the Council of Permanent Representatives and other bodies of the Commonwealth, the Minsk city executive committee, and other officials.
Minsk City Hall proposed to lay the Walk of Friendship in the Victory Museum and Park Complex of the Great Patriotic War, where the new green zone will give home to 25 foliage trees.
The Walk of Friendship will become a symbol of fraternal relations and solidarity of the peoples of the Commonwealth, and a symbol of gratitude for the feat of heroes as the people of the former USSR countries thanks them for having a peaceful sky above the heads.
