Turkmenistan took participation in the international tourism congress in Moscow
Moscow hosted the CIS + MIR International Tourism Congress with the participation of delegates from the Commonwealth countries, the Eurasian Economic Commission, the SCO, banking institutions, the tourism industry, and the IT sector. It was held as part of the CIS + MIR International Economic Forum of the CIS member states and brought together representatives of all six continents.
The participants discussed further development of economic cooperation between the CIS countries, strengthening stability and expanding a multilateral dialogue for common progress.
2020 is declared in the CIS the Year of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
- Only thanks to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War do we have the opportunity to live, develop, make and implement plans. Therefore, the strategic role in the CIS + WORLD program belongs to the theme of recreational tourism. As there is no full life without health, so it is impossible to comprehensively develop tourism without recreational tourism, Anastasia Pavlova, head of the tourism committee of the Business Center for Economic Development of the CIS countries said.
Turkmenistan, together with Uzbekistan, is currently a co-president of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The representative of the Turkmen delegation, adviser to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Russia Serdar Durdyev emphasized the growing influence of tourism initiatives in the CIS countries in 2020, due to which the countries of Central Asia are becoming more and more attractive for tourists.
In addition, the International Tourism Congress participants discussed the development of other modern types of tourism, such as culinary, educational, musical and even bathing.
