The new Crown Prince of Japan will be introduced on April 19


The Japanese Government intends to hold the ceremony of introducing new Crown Prince Akisino to the country and to the whole world on April 19. Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga does not rule out that the program of the event could be rescheduled due to the spread of the coronavirus.
According to the plan, we are preparing carefully for the ceremony. The Government will make every effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19 infection at the event, Japan's Kyodo News Agency quotes Yoshihide Suga.
Prince Akisino, 54, is the younger brother of Japanese Emperor Naruhito who acceded to the Throne on May 1, 2019. Akisino is the first in turn to the throne, and second is his son - 13-year-old Prince Hisahito.
