Turkmenistan - EAEU: what they sell and buy
Eurasian Economic Union countries (EAEU) are important trading partners of Turkmenistan. The data on how in 2019 Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Armenia, entering the EAEU, carried out trade relations are given at the Kirghiz site Tazabek.
According to statistics of the Eurasian Economic Commission for the past year, Eurasian Economic Union countries delivered from Turkmenistan the goods for the sum about 196 million US dollars. The basic share of import belonged to Russia-77, 4 %, in the second place Kazakhstan - 15, 2 %. The share of Kyrgyzstan made up 2, 6 %.
Mainly, EAEU countries bought in Turkmenistan cotton yarn, polymers of ethylene and propylene, and also tomato. Delivery cost of only these by these 4 commodity positions made more than 131 million dollars.
Judging by the given data, Turkmen natural gas exported to Russia in 2019 here was not considered. As known, "Gazprom" Group 1 concluded on July 1 the contract on purchase of natural gas from "Turkmengaz" State Concern for a period of five years. According to the contract, the volume of delivery of gas to Russia from Turkmenistan makes up 5, 5 billion cubic metres per year.
As to export from the EAEU countries to Turkmenistan for 2019 the production for the sum of more than 683 million dollars was delivered. Most of all, to Turkmenistan from the EAEU countries delivered pipes, wheat, bars from not alloyed steel and trucks. Only by these to 4 commodity positions the goods for the sum of about 240 million dollars were delivered.
