The exhibition “Italy. Archeology. China” is opened in Ashgabat

The State Museum of Fine Arts of Turkmenistan is hosting an exhibition “Turkmenistan and the Great Silk Road: Italy. Archeology. China” dedicated to the strengthening, intensifying and expanding cultural cooperation between China, Turkmenistan and Italy. The exhibition is organized by the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and co-organized by the embassies of Italy and the People’s Republic of China in our country with the support of UNESCO.Ogulnur Hanova
The exhibition comprises of five sections, representing various aspects of interaction of Turkmenistan with friendly countries: Archeology; China and the Great Silk Road; Religion, Travelers and Cartography; Material Culture and Technology; Philosophy and Science.
Photographs and reproductions from different historical periods, mosaics of ancient Margiana III-II centuries BC, pottery and archaeological items, extracted by Italian archaeologists in Nisa are exhibited.
The exhibition will last until October 23. Admission is free.
