Kazakhstan preparing the anti-crisis plan after oil price fall


In Nur-sultan the operative governmental meeting in which issues of the financial and economic situation in the world and its influences on the economy of Kazakhstan were discussed on March 9, took place, the press-service of the head of the state of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
At the instructions of President Kassym Jomart Tokayev the rapid response headquarters for development of the anti-crisis action plan in connection with the situation in world economy, adoption of measures on support of employment of population was created. The President of Republic of Kazakhstan considers it an extremely important problem to provide as many people as possible with employment. Its headquarters is headed Prime Minister Askar Mumin.
Tokayev stated necessity to take measures on reduction of budgetary expenses, maintenance of employment of the population in regions, stabilization of the currency-financial market of the country, optimization of republican and local budgets. The government will make offers on specification of the republican budget for 2020-2022.
The cost of oil mark Brent right after opening of the auctions fell on March 9, 2020 more than 30 %. Oil branch – is one of the major segments of the economy of Kazakhstan. Following the results of 10 months of 2019 the oil recovery volume in the Republic of Kazakhstan made up 74,8 million tons.
Today the country exports about 80 % of the oil that makes up 2/3 incomes of foreign sales and forms almost three quarters of the national gross national product. By data for 10 months of 2019, the volume of export of oil and oil products from Kazakhstan made up $27,9 billion – by 10 % less in money terms as compared with the indicator of the similar period of 2018. Volumes of export of oil in physical expression also decreased, but only by 2 %.
