In Turkmenistan, Monday, March 9 is a day off

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Ukase to postpone the weekend, since International Women’s Day, March 8 falls on Sunday. This holiday has the status of a non-working day in the calendar of significant dates of Turkmenistan. In honor of the women’s holiday on March 8, Turkmen citizens were granted an additional day off on Monday, March 9, 2020. The Ukase concerns all institutions, enterprises and organizations in the country, irrespective of their form of ownership.
