National mobilization of coronavirus protection has begun in Iran

Iran’s Minister of Health and Medical Education, Saeed Namaki declared that the national mobilization of coronavirus protection has begun today in high-infection areas and will be carried out in other provinces in the next few days, according to Iranian mass media.
“The other day, my colleagues and I announced that we are going to launch a national mobilization campaign against coronavirus in the form of cross-sectoral cooperation in the country. Across the country, we have more than 17,000 health houses and more than 9,000 medical centers or integrated medical centers in cities, suburbs and large villages, and it was decided to mobilize the medical community, a care organization,” said he.
According to the Ministry of Health of Iran, 3,513 cases of disease infection were identified, among them 107 people died and 739 – recovered.
However, the Regional Director of the World Health Organization (WHO) for emergency operations Richard Brennan said that the WHO had not made any recommendations about the imposition of restrictions on flights to Iran and vice versa. “Of course, this relates not only to Iran, but it is desirable to impose restrictions on all countries at appropriate time, and we do not currently maintain such restrictions concerning Iran,” said he.
“However, some airlines have done it on their own grounds. It is necessary to submit a report to the World Health Organization in accordance with any contractual restrictions in order to evaluate decisions and approve such actions,” added Mr. Brennan.
