First victory of Turkmenistan basketball team at the FIBA 3x3 World Basketball Summit

Turkmenistan’s men beat Serbia with a score of 21-19 at the FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup 2018, which takes place these days in the Chinese city of Xi'an. Merdan Hojamedov hit maybe the biggest shot in Turkmenistan’ basketball history when he connected from long range on the Tissot Buzzer Beater against Serbia. Things did not go as well in their second game against China (6-22) but Turkmenistan are still in the race to make it to the quarter-finals of the FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup.
