WHO experts mission and 8 tons of medicines arrive in Tehran to combat the coronavirus outbreak


The experts’ team of the World Health Organization (WHO) arrived at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport on Monday, delivering additional medicines to combat the coronavirus outbreak, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reports. A United Arab Emirates military aircraft carried the aid of 8 tons, including more than 100 thousand test kits for determining a new type of coronavirus, and a six-member WHO medical team, from Dubai to Tehran. WHO experts will support the Iranian government detect and control the COVID-19. According to Iran’s Health Ministry last up-dates, the disease has infected another 523 people to reach 1,501 in total. Also 291 people have fully recovered.
