Expanding borders: bloggers from Turkmenistan have launched a new entertainment project
“My capital” is the name of an interactive entertainment show that is gaining popularity floating around the Internet. Created under the direction of three talented fellows from Turkmenistan, the program is designed for the widest audience. One of the show’s entertainers, Rustam Hojaev, told wherein the project’s highlight is and how one can take part in it.
“This is the first show of such format that appeared in Turkmenistan, – says Rustam. – The wife of my co-entertainer Rasim Niyazov, gave the idea of creating a program that would be interesting to viewers living in our country. There are a huge number of entertainment programs in the world, and we tried to make own product and did not lose. After the first presentation aired, we received a lot of testimonials. Compatriots living not only in the country, but also abroad write and watch the show.”
The name of the project was chosen not by chance, and it was born out of the authors’ love for their native Ashgabat. Turkmen pop stars and other well-known personalities of Turkmenistan – bloggers, artists, and presenters were invited to participate in the first presentation. The most recognizable faces of the country have been tested for logic, judgment and ability to think in non-standard situations.
“Positive mood, jokes, interesting tasks, all of these are in our show. Eight participants are divided into two teams, four players in each one, come up with funny names for their groups and the “big” game begins. Contests on logic, ingenuity, tricky questions and many other things that “it is better to see once than hear a hundred times”, – continues Rustam Hojaev. – The final competition, which has become traditional, is the game “Crocodile”, here it is necessary to apply all acting skills, depicting the word that the presenters have proposed. Watching the broadcast is as fun as taking part in quizzee.”
Developing the show script, Rustam’s partner Rasim selects original puzzles for the players, some of them are connected with the capital of Turkmenistan. For example, it is necessary to guess the name of a street or intersection located in Ashgabat, by one frame. The first two presentations of the entertainment show have gained about one hundred thousand views, and the shooting of the third one, which will be on the YouTube channel– Rustam Hojaev Show in March, has recently been completed.
Now not only stars, but also anyone can participate in the program, who is 21, just have to send an application to the casting project manager. The main criterion – good communication skills, the ability to play in a team, effortlessness, sociability.
“We want to expand the multimedia space, make it accessible to everyone, and unlock creativity of the residents of our capital. Through the show, we reveal ourselves. I would also like to mention the work of Vepa Kurbanov, our sound engineer, who is popularly known as DJ “Shaman”. He is responsible for the entire audio part of the program. Vepa also knows best of all how to light and choose an original background.”
At the end of the program, each participant receives memorable gifts, there are no losers. Those who have already taken part in the show, share their impressions on social networks, and admit that they received an incredible charge of positive emotions
The project organizers promise that from program to program there will be new interactive puzzles. So future players should be fully ready and start preparing for participation in the program even now. To develop a sense of humor, replenish a vocabulary and expand the horizons of knowledge.
