Kazakhstan will reduce the number of flights to South Korea and Iran


Kazakhstan will reduce the number of flights to South Korea and Iran from March 1 because of coronavirus, the press-service of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan informs, as KazTAG news reports. «In connection with epidemiological conditions in South Korea and Iran The government of the Republic of Kazakhstan takes measures on prevention of further spread of coronavirus in the Republic of Kazakhstan. So, the decision of Interdepartmental Commission on Preventing the Emergence and Spread of Coronavirus Infection in the territory of the republic of Kazakhstan from March 1s, 2020 limits quantity of regular flights in the following order: Air Astana: Almaty - Seoul, from five to one flight a week; Nursultan - Seoul, from two to one flight a week; Asiana Airlines: Almaty - Seoul, from two to one flight a week; Mahan Air: Almaty - Teheran, cancels one flight a week », - as informed in the report on Wednesday. Passengers are recommended «to refrain from trips in the near future to South Korea, and also to consider taken measures on return from South Korea to Kazakhstan». «In this connection passengers who have tickets from March 1 for the above-stated flights can issue return of air tickets to the place of their acquisition. Return of the sums for air tickets will be issued without penal sanctions and in full», - as is summarized in the report. Airline Uzbekistan Airways which has suspended from February 27 all flights from Tashkent to Jidda and Medina in connection with introduction of a temporary interdiction for entrance of pilgrims and tourists by Saudi Arabia informed that some flights for the purpose of transportation of Uzbek citizens from Saudi Arabia in the near future will be carried out. The Saudi authorities explain acceptance of such decision with the necessity of prevention of threat of distribution of COVID-19.
