Turkmen judoists to perform at high level competitions


Aina BERDYYEVA A judoist from Turkmenistan, Milana Charygulyeva, will represent the country at the 3rd Summer Youth Olympic Games in 2018, which will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from October 7 to 18. The young athlete will perform in the weight category up to 52 kg. A large-scale sporting competition will gather 104 judoists from 70 countries of the world - Austria, Belgium, Hungary, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, Belarus, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Iran and many others. Another team of athletes consisting of Batyr Gurbanyazov (up to 66 kg), Parahhat Byashimov (up to 81 kg), Tejen Tejenov (up to 90 kg) and Batyr Hojamuhammedov (up to 100 kg) will participate in the international judo tournament Abu Dhabi Grand Slam 2018 . The championship will be held from 27 to 29 October in the capital of the United Arab Emirates - Abu Dhabi. Earlier, Turkmen athletes successfully participated in tournaments of a similar level. For example, Batyr Hojamuhammedov is the bronze medalist of the Agadir Grand Prix 2018, held in March this year in Morocco, and also won a silver medal at the Open International Judo Asian Tournament in China Taipei in early July.
