The inauguration of Ashraf Ghani, who won the presidential election in Afghanistan, was postponed for technical reasons to March 9. This was reported by the press service of the country’s presidential administration. “President Ghani, after extensive and comprehensive consultations with his country’s politicians, tribal elders, senior members of the government creation group and Afghanistan’s international allies, considered it appropriate to postpone the president’s inauguration ceremony, which was scheduled for February 27”, the statement says. The presidential election in Afghanistan was held on September 28. Ashraf Ghani, current head of Afghan state, won 50.64% of the votes, and was re-elected for the top state post.
