Turkmen power lifter is AAU World Champion

Our fellow countryman Dovletnazar Atanazarov (+120kg), the head coach of the national powerlifting team of Turkmenistan, was awarded the champion title of the World Bench Press Championship according to the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). At the World Championship, held in Laughlin, United States, on September 28-30, the Turkmen athlete lifted the barbell of 210 kg. Thus, Atanazarov renewed his own record, which he set at the World Championships in Vantaa, Finland, this May. Earlier, Dovletnazar Atanazarov twice became the sixth: at the tournament in Killeen in 2017, lifting the weight of 200 kg, and at the World Championships in Finland.Ayna BERDIYEVA
