There is a gold medal at the Weightlifting Championship in Tashkent!
Hojamuhammed Toychiyev, trainer at the 7th Mary Sports School made a wonderful gift to all Turkmen fans of this difficult sport on the last day of competitions at the International Solidarity Weightlifting Championship in Tashkent.
The athlete performing in the weight category of over 109 kg was unrivaled both in the clean and jerk and snatch events. His overall result was 411 kg, the first place and the gold medal at the prestigious rating tournament in the capital city of Uzbekistan. Hojamuhammed lifted the weight of 180 kg in the snatch and 231 kg in the clean and jerk.
During the colpleted competitions the national weightlifting team of Turkmenistan won 7 various medals, including one top award.
Prize winners will gain additional rating points, and the strongest athletes will win the right to participate in the major sporting events of the Summer Olympic Games 2020 to be held in the capital city of Japan.
