In Ashkhabad a seminar on digitalization of economy started


Issues of digitalization of economy were discussed at the UNDP seminar starting today in the building of the United Nations in Ashgabat. The training with participation of representatives of ministries and departments, and also banking establishments of Turkmenistan, was conducted by international consultant, digital economy expert of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO Vladimir Korovkin.
Within three days he will share his experience in introduction of digital technologies in various spheres of economy for the purpose of increase of their efficiency and competitiveness.
- In order to start a mechanism of digital transformation of economy close cooperation between various ministries and departments, large corporations and companies is necessary, - the expert told. - In Turkmenistan the Concept of development of digital economy for 2019-2025 was adopted and it means that the first step to transition into digital economy has been already made.
For transition into digital economy it is necessary to create a uniform state control system of the data that ministries and departments could transfer the data in real time and also receive them from citizens. The second big layer of work - transfer of a maximum of state services into an electronic form and their assurance through digital channels.
In Turkmenistan the portal of state services has already started. Further it is necessary to develop its functionality, to give more and more online services. In the country an active work on introduction of modern technologies expanding a spectrum of bank services - clearing settlements and payments, introduction of a system "Internet-banking", services of motor transport, electronic medical cards is conducted.
- We with our colleagues from the pension fund discussed introduction of a digital account of pension accumulation that will allow citizens to see the savings in an online mode. I also know that in Turkmenistan the project of creation of digital ID-cards is discussed. It is very convenient when the person on one card can have his passport, a driving licence and a medical insurance policy, - Vladimir Korovkin said.
Participants of the workshop will also be familiarized with business models of digital economy, international regulation and interaction in the digital space, digital financial technologies.
