The governors of regions of Turkmenistan have changed: Ashgabat, Akhal, Balkan and Lebap

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov reappointed the governors of regions of Turkmenistan. At an enlarged session of the Cabinet, the head of state appointed Yazmuhammet Gurbanov the Akhal Governor, since Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who held this post, was transferred to the position of Minister of Industry and Construction. The position of Ashgabat Mayor that became vacant after the return of Shamuhamet Durdyliyev to the Government was occupied by Yaztagan Gylyjov, formerly the Balkan Region Governor. Tangryguly Atahalliyev, former head of Lebap administration, replaced him in this position in the seaside region. Shohrat Amangeldiyev was appointed the Lebap Region Governor.
