Investment potential and economic projects of Turkmenistan were discussed in Tbilisi
The investment climate, transport and logistics projects of regional importance and other issues related to the economic policy of Turkmenistan were reviewed at a conference in Tbilisi on Wednesday, February 5, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality.
A conference, organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia in association with the Company CBA Kaizen, was attended by representatives of diplomatic missions, ministries and sectoral departments, experts, investors, representatives of banking institutions, transport, logistics and forwarding companies, French-Georgian and British-Georgian Chambers of Trade and Industry, Mitsubishi Electric, and the media.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan Dovletmurat Muratov emphasized the importance of the date celebrated in 2020 - the 25th anniversary of permanent neutrality, which was a milestone event in the country’s independent history and a landmark in its foreign policy. He pointed out the unique nature of national development and the favorable investment climate of Turkmenistan, as well as the effectiveness of the economic strategy of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
During the event, an exchange of views took place on development of the transport and logistics system of Turkmenistan, in particular on the routes Lapis Lazuli, the Caspian Sea - the Black Sea, as well as on other projects being successfully carried out in this field within the country, and in the region. The ambassador also introduced the event participants to the country’s export opportunities, having informed on the main types of Turkmen products supplied to foreign markets.
In conclusion, the Turkmen diplomatic mission head invited the Georgian party to take an active part in the events to be held in Turkmenistan as part of celebrating the 25th anniversary of neutrality.
