Unexpected final of the Free Pyramid Cup of Turkmenistan and the upcoming billiard competitions

Ashgabat hosted the Free Pyramid Cup of Turkmenistan. Its final brought together at one table country’s Three-Time Champion Begench Jumaklychev and 13-year-old schoolboy Ashir Ashirov, who had previously won four victories over more experienced competitors. One of them was his father Batyr Ashirov, Chairman of the Billiard Federation of Turkmenistan, who lost to the boy with the score 4:5.
Young skilled billiard player also confidently defeated Serdar Pirliev of Dashoguz, winner of the Student Games, and Mavlyam Chariyev of Ashgabat, member of the national team and participant in the world championships. But in the final round, experience nevertheless prevailed: Begench Jumaklychev defeated Ashir Ashirov with the score 5: 1.
But the second place in the national tournament is a great achievement for Ashir, as it was the first final in his sports career. Last year he entered the top ten at the Little Prince International Tournament in Moscow.
The billiard players have ahead the Championships of Turkmenistan in the Dynamic Pyramid and Combined Pyramid, the country’s first junior championship.
