Turkmenistan attends the Cultural Diversity Festival in Paris

On January 23, at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, the Cultural Diversity Festival was held, where Turkmenistan was also represented. The event took place on the initiative of the Secretariat and the UNESCO Clubs of Ambassadors and it was to observe the 75th anniversary of founding of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Among the colorful stands of many countries, the exhibition, organized by the Turkmen diplomatic mission, was of special attention due the bright colors of the national handy crafts and appetizing smell of food of the Turkmen dastrahan. The participants and guests of the festival were very interested in handmade carpets, traditional clothes, jewelry and souvenirs. The visitors were treated by the national cuisine. The opening ceremony of the Cultural Diversity Festival was attended by the heads and representatives of the UNESCO Secretariat, the diplomatic missions accredited to UNESCO and France, officials and public figures, as well as by the media representatives.
