On October 1st, the International Children's Festival Mugham will be held in the capital of Azerbaijan. Young talents from ten countries will take part in the festival. Turkmenistan will be represented by the young singer Humay Kakaeva, she will perform the Turkmen folk song "Yelpselengi" and the Azerbaijani song "Gel-gel gara gos". Especially for the festival, the artist and her mentor Gulshat Odeniyazov shifted "Yelpselengi" in the manner of mugham - the unique Azerbaijani practice of playing music, which was included in the list of the oral and intangible cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO. This is dictated by the desire to emphasize the similarity and uniqueness of the musical tradition of the two peoples. Humay Kakaeva has been singing since she was 5 years old. In 2011 she became a laureate of the prestigious national competition of young talents called "Pearls of Independence", and in 2018 she took third place at the Children's Music and Song Festival.Makhrijemal TUVAKOVA
