Ashgabat hosted an Open Bowling Championship of Turkmenistan

On September 16, the Olympic Complex of the capital hosted an Open Bowling Championship of Turkmenistan, in which anyone could participate. The sport event was aimed to reveal new talents among Turkmen bowling players, who could enter the national team of Turkmenistan. The debutant-bowling participants had a chance to compete with the members of the national team. Batyr Hangeldiyev, President of the National Bowling Federation, was the judge of the tournament. “Such tournaments are good for sportsmen and for those who wish to become one,” Hangeldiyev says. “Here, the accuracy and stress resistance of the participants can be checked. In addition, it is an excellent opportunity to come together and exchange experiences with newcomers and find new talents.” This time, there were many gifted young people. The debutant Mekan Satdarov, who, according to the results of the tournament, scored 870 points, impressed representatives of the Federation. Mekan was invited to undergo training with Batyr Hangeldiyev, so in future he could qualify for the national team. The experienced sportsmen, includng Serdar Atayev, Han Hangeldiyev, Tahir Hanmamedov, Begenchymyrat Muhammetgylyjov, Geldi Garayev, Elena Byashimova, Hurbibi Kishikova, Nasiba Orazmedova and Uzukjemal Toiliyeva, took part in the competition. For them, this tournament was another test to check their sports abilities. The National Bowling Federation of Turkmenistan was established in 2014, and since then our athletes regularly participate in friendly matches and regional tournaments. In 2017, the national team of Turkmenistan represented our country in the Open Bowling Championship among the CIS countries, where took the 3rd place.
